Ubersuggest and seodata.dev both give you search volume and CPC, but only seodata.dev can be called from code or an AI assistant.
- Ubersuggest is Neil Patel’s all-in-one SEO web app. It bundles keyword research (volume, difficulty, intent, ideas) with site audits, weekly rank tracking, backlinks and AI-visibility tracking, in a dashboard and a Chrome extension. The free account is limited to one website, and paid plans start at $29 a month or $290 lifetime. Its pricing page states there is no API access.
- seodata.dev does one job: monthly Google search volume, CPC, competition and similar keywords with their own volumes for 50+ countries, through a public HTTP API and a remote MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. It works without signing up for 20 lookups a day, gives 50 a day and 500 a month with a free key, and costs $4.99 a month for unlimited.
Ubersuggest suits people who want a full SEO dashboard; seodata.dev suits people who need keyword numbers in their own tools or AI assistants.

When Ubersuggest is the better choice
Ubersuggest is a full SEO suite with a friendly web app. If you want site audits, weekly rank tracking, backlink reports, keyword difficulty and an AI writer in one dashboard, it covers far more than seodata.dev. The lifetime plans also suit people who prefer a one-time purchase, and the Chrome extension shows data right in Google results.
When seodata.dev is the better choice
seodata.dev is the simpler choice when what you need is keyword numbers you can use programmatically. Ubersuggest has no public API, while seodata.dev answers a plain HTTP request and works as an MCP server, so you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to compare keyword ideas and get answers from real search volumes. At $4.99 a month, about a sixth of Ubersuggest’s entry plan, it fits developers, small teams and anyone who only needs the volume, CPC and competition columns.
