Terms of service

Last updated 12 October 2026. By using the seodata.dev website, HTTP API or MCP server you agree to these terms.

The service

seodata.dev provides keyword data: monthly search volume, cost per click, competition and similar keywords, by country. Figures are estimates gathered from third-party sources and can differ from what other tools show. We work to keep the service available but don't guarantee uptime or that every keyword has data.

Accounts and keys

  • You can use the service without an account within the anonymous limit, or create one with an email address you control.
  • Your API key and OAuth connections act on your account. Keep the key secret; you're responsible for usage made with it. If it leaks, email us and we'll rotate it.
  • One account per person or organisation. Don't create extra accounts to get around free limits.

Limits and plans

  • Without an account: 20 lookups a day per IP address.
  • Free account: 50 lookups a day and 500 a month.
  • Unlimited: $4.99 a month. Keywords already in our database are unlimited; fresh lookups of new keywords are capped at 10,000 a day per account to protect the service.

We may change limits or prices. Price changes for a paid plan take effect from your next billing period, and we'll tell you by email first.

Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Polar, our merchant of record. You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period you paid for. If we can't accept an upgrade, we refund it in full.

Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to bypass limits, scrape the website at volume, or disrupt the service.
  • Don't resell raw access to the API as a competing keyword-data service.
  • Don't send personal or confidential information as keywords.

We may suspend keys or accounts that break these rules, usually after a warning unless the abuse is ongoing.

Using the data

You can use the results in your own products, reports, content and datasets, including commercially.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end the service with 30 days' notice to paying customers and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period.

Changes

We'll update the date above when these terms change and email account holders about material changes. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
